Turns out Spotify is also partnering with ChatGPT...

Yeah, Spotify isn't just raising subscription prices again, now they also partner with AI, ChatGPT.
One article of many that talks about this: https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/spotify-brings-music-recommendations-to-chatgpt-via-new-integration/
While it seems this is on an opt in basis and while I am not 100% against AI, I very much think, that this will just cause a LOT of wasted energy and resources for very poor recommendations.
Giving AI access to more of ourselves, more of the internet and more original content just does not seem like a good idea to me at all.
I can already smell the absolute slop that will suddenly appear in the AI "music business" while Spotify claims it's treating users and music with care bla bla.
Maybe I am schizo about this, but I don't like it at all. AI does NOT need to be in every fucking piece of tech and software in existence.
I liked the world more when I had to go to page 6 of DuckDuckGo to find some obscure info, before I got automated AI answers in my search engine (yes you can turn these off at least now..), before every last app was bloated and made less usable with AI "features".
Even after all that ranting I have to admit I have used AI, specifically ChatGPT, DeepSeek and some random Perplexity models before, mostly for some ultra obscure information or thoughts. But I think the use of AI should be held at an absolute minimum, enhance our experiences, not replace them.
Oh well.
I hope this AI shit is just a trend to distract us from genocide or pedo lists and will pass into something more edible, less exhausting.
